The Office of Intercultural Ministry—comprising Hispanic Ministry, Black Ministry, Asian and Pacific Island Ministry, and the Intercultural Pastoral Institute—serves the diverse cultural communities present in our archdiocese. We accompany them on their journey of faith, offering them various spiritual, formational, and cultural celebratory experiences. Our mission is rooted in the Gospel, fostering unity among all members of the Church and drawing them closer to Christ.
We believe that cultural diversity is a gift to the Church of the twenty-first century. Each ethnic group brings a history, a way of living out the faith, and dreams that can only be realized by embracing a Catholic identity—an identity that reminds us that all people, regardless of color, language, or race, have been created in the image and likeness of God. This identity unites all members of the Church into one Body: the Body of Christ.
